always 17

it's been a long long time since the last entry... exams ended, work started, 2007 came... but it is nice to know that even if all these changes, one thing remains the same, and that is that the council people are still the same ol' same ol'. as daniel says, we are all young despite the numerical escalation. and this basically means that we still end up rowdy and a little crazy once you put us together :)

Dinner at The Pines
daniel came up with the great idea of having a nice sit-down dinner at The Pines where we all had to dress a little nicer. so i thought we would have a nice, quiet dinner since we HAD to behave ourselves. but we still managed to create a ruckus and make alot of noise. thankfully, we were in a private room or we would have been chased out of the restaurant.


not all of us are here as merly had to work late, zibin was at a bball game and siau and jiamin were out of town. not full strength but still really good fun :)

i love this photo. this was a desperate attempt at a self-shot on dr ngiam's phone which, in her words, had "suffered a stroke" coz the buttons on the right side of the phone were paralysed and not responding. we all think this is a sign of serious occupational hazard. hee.

we headed to PS cafe after that for desserts and we were floored by their desserts. among the 7 of us, we ordered 5 desserts and they were all heavenly!


the BEST: mango and banana crumble


the sinful: a cake called "heart attack" (or something like that). let's just say it is quite appropriately named :)

Orientation 2007
january is o1 time again and we headed back to hwa chong to act like JC kids again :)

then we started taking jumping photos which prove to be a pain in the ass to take coz some of us just could not jump at the right cue. i have to admit i was one of them coz for some reason, i was always slower. must be getting older so take abit more time to lift off :) so, we took like 7 photos and i jumped in heels (ouch!) until i grew smarter and took them off.

of course the night could not end just like that. we adjourned to jiamin's place for ice cream, wine and PICTIONARY!!! it was the best fun i have had in a while. laughed till my stomach ached and shouted till my voice was a little hoarse.


Pictionary Extreme 2007: we drew our own board coz jiamin couldn't find hers. it was the most hilarious pictionary ever with some squares having special things e.g. "snakes and ladders" that made you slide back down, "go back to start", "change a player in your team, "do the chicken dance", "take a team photo with hats" etc.



although we did not manage to have anyone doing the chicken dance, some of us still landed on the new squares that were drawn. jiamin and kenneth went back to start TWICE; me, iz and dan slid down the snake TWICE; and the funniest? wendy and wee landed on the square "Team Photo with Hats!", TWICE!!!

i love them :) sometimes, i don't think anyone of us grew out of the 17/18 year old age coz we have not changed one bit. we still cheat at pictionary by sneeking peeks at the other teams and evasdropping on them. and we (most of us, anyway) still cannot draw animals to save our lives with dogs, wolves, cows, goats all looking the same. the only thing that has changed coz we have grown up is that we have switched from ribena (the drink) to wine. hee. and this time, for once, we managed not to spill anything on jiamin's carpet.

anyways, it has been a wonderful weekend and a great recharge for the week ahead :)
